Nick
I’ve been passionate about tropical fish all my life, spending years successfully keeping and breeding a wide range of species at home. Through experience and ongoing learning, I’ve built a strong foundation in fishkeeping.
Coppermill Aquatics is the natural progression of that journey, turning a lifelong interest into a business dedicated to quality and care.
I'm responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, as well as developing and growing Coppermill Aquatics. From managing operations to planning our next steps, im focused on building something that reflects both our passion for fish while also delivering a great experience for our customers.
Ollie
I’ve loved fish from a young age and have always had tanks at home, developing a strong understanding of tropical fish and their care. Over time, I’ve gained experience in breeding and maintaining high-quality stock, including managing water conditions to keep fish healthy.
At Coppermill Aquatics, I am involved in the with day-to-day operations across a busy setup and love the breeding aspect to create the healthiest and vibrant varieties. Along with our ‘homegrown’ fish, I enjoy is selecting high quality varieties to add to our growing lines.
With maintaining water quality, tanks, filtration systems, and general fish care, I play a vital role in our success, ensuring standards of quality and care are consistently met.
Chez
As Nick’s wife, I’ve lived alongside his passion for tropical fish for many years. In the end, it was a simple case of ‘if you can’t beat them, join them’, and what began as his interest has grown into a business we now run together.
Alongside my role working in adult mental health for the NHS, I oversee the accounts and social media for Coppermill Aquatics, keeping the day-to-day operations on track.
Lilly (Nick & Chez’s daughter)
I’ve grown up around fish, with a particular love for goldfish and puffer fish (separate tanks, of course) - I currently have a Fahaka puffer called Mr Puffy, who Dad once attempted to feature on TikTok… which is exactly why he’s no longer involved in social media.
I support our social media by helping shape content, understanding what people want to see, and keeping us up to date with reels, editing and posting. I also feature in some of our videos—mainly because it takes fewer attempts than when Mum and Dad try.
